Susan Towers, Founding Partner

Picture
Connector. Curator. Storyteller. Forecaster. Advocate. Host. Maven. Susan Towers is a woman of many talents with a deep curiosity. One of the most passionate and approachable media mavens, Susan is a seasoned international communications agent–one with digital and analog experience and an extraordinary commitment to lifelong learning. Renowned for her network, creative thinking and strategic insights, Susan’s reputation is soundly rooted in her abilities, leadership, resilience, curiosity, style, support and her energy and pragmatic optimism, not to mention savoir-faire.

After gaining a degree in psychology and politics, Susan followed a well-worn path to London where she rose though the ranks of the publishing industry, working in business development at the forefront of digital and retail media. She next relocated to New York, working first as publisher of a consumer luxury magazine, and then in marketing at Fortune magazine and at Assouline, the leading French lifestyle and fashion book publisher. After a brief foray into fashion, but more curious about people and products, Susan gained further international experience when she worked at L’Oréal as head of global communications for Kiehl’s, then a cult brand (now a beauty juggernaut). She subsequently worked at the boutique creative agency, Chandelier, before working at a number of other design driven companies and successful start-ups, including her own.

Business–and pleasure–have taken Susan to five continents and 32+ countries, three of which she has called home, including her native Ireland, London, New York and now, Portland, Or.  She has frequently worked with collaborative clients on a repeat basis, and has often teamed up with former colleagues in new ventures, sourcing the best talent to meet the rapidly changing demands of the marketing landscape. Her work ranges from marketing, web development, creative projects and partnerships, strategic branding and positioning (including thought leadership), and public relations / reputation management. Susan has served on a number of non- and for-profit boards, as well as acting as a trusted advisor to private equity firms and VCs.

Away from work, Susan spends time outdoors with her dog and enjoys cooking for friends. She loves avocado toast, tea, chocolate, reading and travel, not necessarily in that order.
